Oil painting signed V. Ruggiero. Measures 15.25" by 11". Features Mediterranean village with small boats, hillside, homes and large rocks. V. Ruggiero signed 1877 to 1951. There are several Ruggiero painters but I do believe this is the correct date and time frame for this artist. Stunning seascape scene with small boats, rocks on the shoreline, rolling hills with stone buildings dotting the coastline. I purchased this piece in an antique store in Sorrento, Italy. I do believe it is original to the Naples area. Good condition. Could use a good cleaning as the sky is very darkened. Thick painting and could be palette knife production. Enchanting!
