Here is a very nice Mitrailleuse needle case made in Hong Kong
Date range - mid 1900's.
58 mm x 18 mm diameter.
Contains a few needles.
Mitrailleuse needle cases were primarily made in the late 19th and early 20th centuries (c. 1876–1910). The earliest versions—featuring the distinctive rotating cylindrical design named after the multi-barrel machine gun—were provisionally registered on September 8, 1876, by Frank S. Kendrick in Birmingham.
These clever Edwardian and Victorian novelties were largely produced in England, primarily in the needle-making hubs of Redditch and Birmingham:
