ITEM DESCRIPTION –  What a rare pipe this one is! The Comoy's Old Bruyere series of pipes date from 1919 to 1965, and this one must be really early production because is is a Patent era pipe with patent numbers (see below). The stem logo is the original three part C. The grain is very nice, showing both cross grain and a little birdseye. The tobacco chamber is solid but shows a little tight cake in spots. The stem has single individual dimples top and bottom at the lip area where shallow tooth marks were buffed out at some point.

STAMPED: Comoy's Old Bruyere is stamped on the left side of the shank and on the right side is stamped Supreme Patent, U.S. PAT. 2001612 followed by 270. The markings are all readable, but I did need a magnifying glass to catch all of it.
