●Product Overview
The Naniwa IF-0001 "Ebi Jirushi" Pure White Super Finishing Whetstone is a #8000 grit finishing stone from Naniwa Abrasive, a long-established Japanese whetstone manufacturer. It is recommended as the final mirror-finish step after sharpening the edge of knives, plane blades, and similar cutting tools.

Made using white alundum (WA) abrasive, the stone offers excellent cutting performance while resisting clogging and glazing. Simply wet the stone's surface with water before use — soaking is not required.

This is the base-less (no wooden stand) version of the stone, allowing it to be mounted on a stone holder or fixture of your choice.
