This is a 100% Polyester Unused Wearable Vintage Obi

This is a beautiful unused and wearable Vintage Japanese Hanhaba (half width) Obi from Kosugi Textile Co Ltd, Japan.

It is made from 100% Polyester and has a really cute woven design featuring lots of little yellow and orange Cats and Kittens playing with Balls of Thread set against a pale orange-cream base. The reverse side is a rich bright yellow colour. 

This is a more casual, easier to wear and tie style of Obi and is often worn in Japan with Yukata and everyday Kimono. "Hanhaba" means half width. 

Measurement: Length approx 4 metres, Width approx 17cm

This Obi is unused and wearable with Kimono, Yukata or other fashion pieces. You could use also use it to make a table runner, wall hangings, bags, centerpieces of patchwork, cushions or any other craft or quilting project.
