Quadraspire SV Bronze 30 Upgrade Spikes

A set of four bronze upgrade spikes designed for compatible Quadraspire Q4 and SVT racks and wall shelves.

Developed Through Listening

Quadraspire racks are designed to be light and rigid, helping audio systems deliver a cleaner and more clearly defined musical performance. Their racks combine wood or bamboo shelves with solid aluminium columns and feet.

Aluminium is used for its low weight, strength and non-magnetic properties. Quadraspire also investigated the sonic behaviour of other metals, including stainless steel, titanium, brass and bronze.

Extensive listening tests formed a central part of that research. Quadraspire approached the development process in much the same way that musical instruments are tuned by ear, assessing how different materials influenced resonance, tonal balance and musical flow.

Why Bronze?

Bronze is a high-copper alloy used in a variety of musical instruments. It can be found in the bodies and bells of wind instruments, while bronze-wound strings are commonly used on acoustic guitars, mandolins and other stringed instruments.

Its distinctive material properties are associated with a broad harmonic response. When applied to the Quadraspire support system, the Bronze upgrade is intended to provide a wider tonal spectrum, greater sustain and a more open soundstage without reducing detail.

Designed to Control Resonance

The Bronze upgrade spike assembly uses Quadraspire’s SVT curved top-bolt design together with a rounded lower spike. This arrangement is intended to encourage residual mechanical resonance to flow away from the supported component and dissipate more effectively.

Each assembly consists of a top bolt and locking nut, together with a smaller rounded spike and second locking nut. The components are engineered at Quadraspire’s factory near Bath.

Simple Retrofit Upgrade

The upgrade can be fitted to the top shelf of a compatible Quadraspire rack or wall bracket, allowing the source component placed on that shelf to benefit from the revised support system.

Quadraspire describes the effect as a more open, involving and musically expressive presentation, with improved sustain and soundstage scale while preserving fine detail.

All items must be returned to us in their original condition within 14 days of receipt.
