Vintage mixed lot of three red-and-black writing instruments.

Included:

• Dur-O-Lite mechanical pencil with faceted black barrel, red upper section, silver-tone trim, and clip marked DUR-O-LITE
• Additional vintage mechanical pencil with rounded black barrel, red upper section, and silver-tone trim
• Unbranded desk-style fountain pen with long red taper and gold-tone nib marked NICHRO TIP 5

Both pencils contain lead, with the tips extended in the photographs. One appears to contain red lead and the other dark graphite lead. The lead sizes and advancing mechanisms have not been fully tested.

The fountain pen has not been filled or writing-tested. The nib is a gold-tone steel Nichro Tip No. 5 rather than solid gold; Nichro Tip nibs were manufactured by Turner & Harrison and are documented on mid-century American fountain pens.

Pre-owned vintage condition with scratches, scuffs, finish wear, discoloration, and marks from age and storage. The fountain nib shows tarnish and surface wear. The fountain pen’s desk base is not included.
