North Carolina: Although he's fully two miles away form the community of Loafer's Glory, this fellow gives way to that blissful urge to stop and squat and snooze. The community, nestled in the mountains of Western North Carolina, earned its name when local farmers formed the habit of gathering there to whittle and chew the fat. Photo measures 8.25 x 10.5 inches. Photo Is dated 1946.
