What is Engine Valve Cover Gasket Set?
An engine valve cover gasket set seals the valve cover to the cylinder head and includes the additional seals that joint needs, such as spark plug tube seals and grommets. Every piece has to stay flexible through constant heat cycling while resisting hot oil. A hardened gasket lets oil creep down the head onto the exhaust manifold or flood the spark plug wells and cause misfires. The set is built for the cover design of the specified engine so all sealing points are renewed at once.
