A beautiful antique Royal Crown Derby porcelain cabinet plate with a lobed, gadrooned moulded rim, richly gilded to catch the light. The edge is coloured with a very deep underglaze mazarine blue and the centre is superbly hand painted with a festoon of pink English roses with green and glaucous blue foliage. Over the blue ground, and drifting into the edge of the central reserve, are stunning, delicate gilded sprays of cow parsley or similar, with hundreds of tiny hand painted dots to form each flower head, finely painted stems and areas of raised "jewelled" gilt dots to add texture and allow even more sparkle under candlelight. Impressed and printed factory marks to the reverse, with date cypher for 1910 and painted pattern number 7599.

It measures 22.9cm (9") wide.

In excellent condition with no damage, repair or restoration. No discernible handling wear to the centre, no scratches or wear to the enamelling. Very minor handling wear of the gilt to some of the high points of the gadrooning as is usual, and slightly to that at the edge of the cavetto.
