EZ nord highly compact portable fitness attachment by
The Tib Bar Guy

The EZ Nord (developed by The Tib Bar Guy) is a highly compact, portable fitness attachment designed to convert almost any standard weight bench into a dedicated Nordic hamstring curl station. It is popular for posterior chain strengthening and "Knees Over Toes" style athletic training

Because the EZ Nord relies on your existing weight bench, the stabilization comes entirely from how securely you tighten the two-strap system around the bench frame and leg base. It is highly recommended to tuck the excess strap length into the provided Velcro loops to keep your workout space entirely clear of trip hazards.

The EZ Nord is classified as a bench-attachment Nordic hamstring curl device.

The EZ Nord is specifically engineered to isolate the posterior chain, with a primary and intense focus on the hamstrings.

Because of the unique mechanics of the Nordic curl exercise, it targets your lower body muscles in a very specific way:

Primary Muscle Group

  • Hamstrings: (Biceps femoris, Semitendinosus, and Semimembranosus). The EZ Nord forces the hamstrings to work eccentrically (controlling your body weight as it lowers) and concentrically (pulling your body back up). It heavily targets the hamstrings at both the hip and knee joints.

Secondary & Stabilizing Muscles

  • Glutes (Gluteus Maximus): Acts as a powerful stabilizer to keep your hips fully extended and locked in a straight line during the movement.

  • Calves (Gastrocnemius): Because the calf muscle crosses the knee joint, it actively assists the hamstrings in stabilizing the knee during the curl.

  • Spinal Erectors (Lower Back) & Core: Actively engage to keep your torso rigid and prevent your lower back from arching or sagging as you lean forward.

Why it's unique: Unlike traditional machine leg curls that only load the hamstring while sitting or lying down, the EZ Nord trains the hamstrings at their longest, most vulnerable lengths. This specific type of eccentric strengthening is highly regarded for sprinting speed and reducing the risk of hamstring strains.

Dual-Strap "Zero-Tool" Anchoring System

  • The Feature: It uses two heavy-duty premium straps with strong tensioning buckles to secure the device.

  • How it Works: One strap wraps tightly around the main horizontal pad of your weight bench, while the second strap anchors down to the back leg base of the bench.

  • The Benefit: Completely eliminates the need for wrenches, bolts, or screws. You can set it up or take it off in under 30 seconds without damaging your equipment.

  • Height-Adjustable Ankle Rollers

    • The Feature: A built-in pull-pin adjusting knob allows you to slide the ankle pads up and down.

    • The Benefit: Lets you micro-adjust the height to clamp your heels and Achilles tendons firmly against the rollers. A secure lock is critical for preventing your feet from slipping during heavy eccentric drops.
