1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 SportsRoof equipped with the 351-4V Cleveland engine and close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission. This is a documented, numbers-matching car verified by the included Marti Report.

My father purchased the car in 1983 as the second owner, and it has remained in our family since. A copy of the original title transfer is included. The car has spent the vast majority of the last 40+ years stored in a heated garage and has been carefully preserved rather than heavily restored.

Factory equipment as documented by the Marti Report includes:

• 351-4V Cleveland V8 engine

• Close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission

• 3.25 Traction-Lok rear axle

• Black exterior paint

• White knit vinyl Mach 1 bucket seats

• Black hood stripe

• AM/FM stereo radio

• Quick ratio steering

• Tachometer

The odometer currently shows 70,927 miles, believed to be original.

Vehicle Details

Key highlights:

• Numbers-matching engine and transmission

• Original paint

• Original floor pans and torque boxes

• Marti Report included

• Original spare tire still in trunk

• Professionally rebuilt original engine

• Largely original interior

The car retains its original paint and presents with straight body panels and good factory panel fit. The underside remains solid with original floor pans and torque boxes.

Approximately five years ago, the engine was professionally rebuilt when it became necessary for continued reliable operation. The original block and heads were retained and professionally machined during the rebuild. No performance modifications were made. The original carburetor is also included and will go with the car.

The interior remains largely original. The seats present very well. The door panels show some yellowing and cracking consistent with age. The original headliner remains in place and has a small mouse-related blemish above the passenger visor that is mostly concealed when the visor is up.

The front portion of the underside was sprayed with orange paint decades ago, likely as a preventative measure. The remainder of the underside remains clean and solid.

The car runs and drives well. The Marti Report documenting the vehicle’s factory configuration is included and shown in the photos.
