"Local Institute! Central Hall, Marietta, PA., January 16 and 17, 1891. The Institute will open on Friday evening by a lecture, given by Prof. L.I. Handy of Delaware. Prof. Handy was the popular lecturer of the Lancaster Co. Institute. He is a great orator, and always presents his theme in a popular and sprightly manner. Subject: 'The African in America'. This will be a treat for Marietta and vicinity. Admission, 25 cents. Reserved seats can be secured at Wike's Drug Store without extra charge. Marietta Times Print."
