This is an AMAZING VINTAGE set of 8 Pimpernel placemats from the 1970s.  These placemats were made in the United Kingdom and feature the "Winterthur" pattern that resembles a Japanese panel painting.  "Winterthur" is written in the lower right corner and stickers with the Pimpernel logo are on the back of a few of them.  They are cork-backed so they don't slide across a flat surface.  Each placemat is about 15.75 inches long and 11.75 inches wide.  They are BEAUTIFUL!  They are in VERY GOOD VINTAGE CONDITION!  There are no major tears, nicks, discoloration or major scratches.  There are some stains on the underside of many of the placemats and 2 of them have a very tiny tear on 1 corner.
