This unique vintage piece is an official souvenir/amulet from the historic Tōdai-ji Temple (東大寺) in Nara, Japan. Crafted as a traditional Dorei (土鈴 - Japanese clay bell), it features a distinct double-sided design depicting the fierce countenances of the Nio Kongorikishi (仁王 金剛力士)—the wrathful guardian deities who protect the entrance gates of Buddhist temples.
