[Vehicle Fitment]: Compatible with Harley-Davidson 1970 and later dual fire ignition . On 1984-1999 fitment models, an advance weight mechanism is required; On 1986-2003 XL and 1980-1999 Big Twin models, mechanical advance unit is required.
[Note]: The Ds6-1 should be used with a coil having 4 to 5 ohms primary resistance for street applications. For race applications, a 3 ohm coil can be used. Bikes with dual plug heads can use two 1.5 ohm coils wired in series (3 ohms total resistance) for race or street. Do not use the factory electronic ignition coil for street applications.
