This is a beautiful, powerful and authentic vintage Japanese "Fuchin" (風鎮 - Hanging Scroll Weight), masterfully crafted from traditional "Kiyomizu Ware" (清水焼 - Kyoto Porcelain) during the post-war Showa period. The spherical porcelain body displays brilliant hand-painted details portraying a dynamic "Red Dragon" (龍) weaving through blue underglaze cloudscapes utilizing the traditional historical "Akae" (赤絵 - red enamel painting) technique, paired beautifully with sleek golden-beige tassels. Fuchin are traditional weights suspended from both ends of a hanging scroll's bottom roller to stabilize the artwork against wind movement while adding formal dignity and aesthetic completeness to your traditional Kakejiku display or tea ceremony room. This exquisite artisan set comes perfectly preserved in its original green-patterned presentation box bearing the authentic Kiyomizu-yaki calligraphic title detailing the red dragon motif.

As a genuine period craft, there are minor visible signs of historical display wear overall, such as a natural softening of the porcelain sheen, faint surface rubbing, and minor surface dust, which do not detract from its beauty.
