LHS “EDUCATOR” Unsmoked
L&H Stern, Likely Made 1940’s
USA Pipe Maker, Post WWII Era
Pencil Shank Small Apple w/Feet
Green Dot & Silver Ring, Mint!

Here is a very cool early, and yet unsmoked, USA made pipe by L & H Stern Co., called EDUCATOR. The pipe was probably made in the 1940’s, but not sure, could be 1930’s. The pipe is unusual, as it’s very thin, light, with a “pencil” shank and stem, and a tiny bowl. The bowl has a couple feet on which it stands, so you can set it down while smoking it. Not sure if the name EDUCATOR would apply to the design or not, as I’ve never heard it before. It’s very light in weight, really cool looking to me. It’s still unsmoked, has as small bowl volume. It’s got a 14K gold plated band which is original to the pipe, as I’m sure the think shank might break without it as it’s very thin at the end. The stem has a normal tenon mount, and a gold-tone stinger, and it draws fine. The stem is an early design, with elliptical button which has a little blem. The stem logo is cool; it’s a light green dot surrounded in a thin silver ring. Weighs in about .35 ounces, freshly polished and is ready to smoke!

Please see my other Auctions! Combined shipping of multiple items no problem! Saves you money... Additional cleaning may be desired on some pipes, as I focus on the exterior reconditioning and reaming, and leave the shank interior to the new owner, pipe stand not included with any pipe.
