Die Medaille ist am Rand mit „SILBER 990“ gepunzt. Die dokumentierte Leitfähigkeitsmessung von 53,3 MS/m passt zu einer Silber-Kupfer-Legierung. Daher wird das Stück als Silbermedaille, wahrscheinlich 990er Silber, angeboten.
