This pottery plate measures approximately 9 1/8" in diameter. It has blue trim and colorful wild roses, green leaves and exotic tree branches. There is also a winged insect flying by. This is marked with the British Diamond Registry mark for the date of November 24, 1864. It also has the pattern number B 4004. This pattern is attributed to Brown, Westhead, Moore in their B series of dessert ware. This company operated as TC Brown-Westhead, Moore & Co from 1862 until 1904 when they became Cauldon Ltd. This is a great early piece with vivid colors. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or damage. There are some stilt marks on the back, one looks like a line in the glaze near the rim. There are some utensil scratches, but it looks very good overall. Please see my pictures and thank you for the interest!
