Traditional Himeji Craft / Can Also Be Used as a Door Chime

This is a pair of traditional Japanese iron hibashi made by Myochin, a famous metalworking family from Himeji, Japan.

The Myochin family is known for its long history of iron forging, and Myochin hibashi are appreciated not only as traditional fire chopsticks, but also for their clear and elegant sound.

When hung together, the iron sticks create a beautiful tone, so they are also often enjoyed as a Japanese-style wind chime or door chime.

This piece is the tsukushi-style model by 52nd-generation Myochin Munemichi Sori.

It comes in its original wooden box with paper insert and a nail for door chime use.
