For sale is an original vintage Real Photo Postcard (RPPC) documenting the Wasco County Fair on September 19, 1937. This crisp image was taken by Broughton Photo and shows riders in the arena in front of the grandstands.
The back of the postcard contains a charming handwritten note: "Joe to the right of the two, His pretty young horse did not like the band music. Joe rides well, — belongs to Portland Riding Club."
This is a fantastic piece of Oregon history, capturing the atmosphere of a pre-WWII county fair. The identification of the rider and his affiliation with the Portland Riding Club adds significant historical value for local researchers and equestrian collectors alike.

The postcard is in very good antique condition. It features sharp focus and great contrast. There is very minor corner wear and light toning on the reverse as expected with age. It is unposted. Please see the high-resolution scans for a complete look at the condition.
