An original seventh edition map, titled "Rhodesia, Relief, Layered",
a topographical relief map from the Department of the Surveyor General Rhodesia.
Compiled and drawn by the Department of the Surveyor General,
printed by the Government Printer in Salisbury (now Harare), and published in 1973.
The piece includes the official historical Rhodesian coat of arms,
and motto "Nomine Digna" in the upper-left corner.
It features a detailed scale of 1:1,000,000,
presenting a layered elevation view of the region,
with the altitude regions denoted by the colouring,
alongside detailing the traditional cities, roads,
communications infrastructure, and even game reserves.
It is very large 91 x 81 cm's visible,
and it is mounted & framed as shown,
the frame measures 117.5 x 109.5 x 2.5 cm's.
Postage costs are what we have been quoted due to the size of the piece,
we are also happy to offer free collection from the EX2 Area in Devon.
Or if prefered we can sell the map without the frame
with commensurate reduced shipping cost.
Map is in very good condition, slight creasing from folding,
and a little yellowing of the paper with age,
the frame has a little wear to the edges on the corners,
but otherwise excellent, as shown in the pictures.
