A seminal 19th-century zoological text written by English naturalist Richard Lydekker,
catalogs and describes the anatomy, taxonomy, and habits of the families.
This is the 1896 edition published as part of the Lloyd’s Natural History series,
Cloth covered hardback bound with gilt title on the spine,
it features a number of coloured plates displaying many examples,
from the three stripped opossum to the duck bill platapus.
Volume is in good condition, fading to the spine as is common,
foxing to the end papers, but otherwise very good,
all as shown in the pictures.
