❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: Does the DSC-TX1 have Wi-Fi? Can I connect it to my phone?
No, the DSC-TX1 is a vintage digital camera from 2009 and does not have built-in Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. To transfer photos, you will need to connect the camera to a computer via USB cable or remove the Memory Stick Duo card and use a compatible card reader with your phone or computer.
Q2: How good is the low-light performance on the TX1?
The TX1 was the first compact camera to feature Sony's Exmor R back-illuminated CMOS sensor, which offers approximately twice the light sensitivity of traditional sensors. Combined with Hand-held Twilight mode (captures 6 images and combines them), it produces impressive low-light results without needing a tripod.
Q3: What type of memory card does this camera use?
The DSC-TX1 uses Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick PRO Duo, and Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo cards. It does NOT support SD cards. The camera also has approximately 11MB of internal memory for emergency storage.
Q4: What is Sweep Panorama and how does it work?
Sweep Panorama is one of the TX1's most popular features. Simply press the shutter and sweep the camera horizontally or vertically — the camera captures multiple images and automatically stitches them together into a single panoramic photo.
Q5: How can I transfer photos from the camera?
You have two main options: 1) Connect the camera to a computer via USB cable. 2) Remove the Memory Stick Duo card and use a card reader with your computer or phone. Please check the listing photos to confirm whether a USB cable is included.
