Item Description:
RARE VINTAGE SOVIET WATCH RAKETA "BIG ZERO" — USSR CALIBER 2609.HA
NEAR NOS (NEW OLD STOCK) CONDITION — LOW SERIAL NUMBER #321
Up for sale is an iconic piece of Soviet horological history: the famous Raketa "Big Zero". This specific watch features a timeless minimalist white dial with bold black numerals, starting with the signature "0" at the twelve o'clock position.
AUTHENTICITY & MOVEMENT:
- 100% All-Original: This is an authentic Soviet-era timepiece. It is NOT a modern reproduction, franken-watch, or aftermarket assembly.
- Dial: Crisp white dial with deep black printing. Features the original text "СДЕЛАНО В СССР" (Made in USSR) at the bottom and the authentic "PAKETA" logo.
- Movement: Powered by the legendary Soviet workhorse — the manual-wind Raketa 2609.HA (SU) caliber with 19 ruby jewels. The movement is clean, unpolished, and has no signs of past amateur repairs. All screw heads and wheels are in factory condition.
- Timegrapher Results: Tested on a professional timegrapher. It shows an excellent amplitude of ~289° and runs at an impressive +11 seconds per day (BPH 18,000). Please note: due to decades of storage, a standard cleaning/relubrication (repassag) is recommended for daily wear to ensure long-term precision
COSMETIC CONDITION:
- Case: Near-mint NOS condition. The chrome plating retains a deep mirror finish with perfectly sharp, crisp factory edges. The cushion-shaped case has never been polished or buffed.
- Glass: Original high-dome acrylic (organic) crystal. It has a minor "storage haze" and very faint hairline marks from being stored loose without a factory box, which can be easily polished out. No cracks or deep scratches.
- Caseback: Original stainless steel snap-on back with factory vertical brushing. It features a highly desirable and rare low 3-digit serial number: 321 stamped in the original Soviet font. It shows light hairline marks from long-term storage.
DIMENSIONS:
- Case Width: ~39 mm (excluding crown)
- Lug-to-Lug: ~41 mm
- Lug Width: 18 mm

COLLECTOR’S CONDITION & MECHANICAL PERFORMANCE:
This timepiece is part of a long-term private collection. It was previously professionally serviced by a master watchmaker, but has remained in storage for a significant period without regular use.
Pre-shipment Check: Before packing, I personally verify that the movement starts easily, runs steadily, and that the time-setting functions work correctly.
Accuracy Disclaimer (Please Read):
As with all vintage mechanical watches kept in long-term storage, the original lubricants may have aged or thickened over time. Therefore, I do not guarantee modern chronometer-level accuracy.
The watch is sold in "Running" condition, but it may run slightly fast or slow (within or slightly outside vintage tolerances). Precision can also be affected by the vibrations and temperature changes during international transit. A routine professional adjustment or "oil refresh" by your local watchmaker may be required to achieve your desired timekeeping standards.
Sold "As-Is" regarding daily precision. By purchasing, you acknowledge that vintage mechanical movements are sensitive instruments that may require fine-tuning upon arrival.
Authentic vintage. Serviced in the past, long-term storage. Runs and sets correctly. Accuracy not guaranteed due to age and storage; may need minor regulation.
At the buyer's request, I can put a new strap on the watch for an additional fee.
