Product Description
The 1794-IF4I is a FLEX I/O module featuring isolated analog inputs. This module was designed
and produced by the company known as Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation. It is compatible with terminal base units in the 1794 series. The module features 4 isolated inputs that are differential-ended. It features a unipolar resolution of 16 bits and a bipolar resolution of 15 bits +. The data conversion type for the input is Sigma-Delta with the input conversion rate for all channels being in the range of 2.5 milliseconds to 7.5 milliseconds. The 1794-IF4I has a FlexBus voltage of 5 volts DC and a FlexBus current rating of 50 milliamperes. The manufacturer specifies an input accuracy for the current and voltage inputs to be 0.1 percent at a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius. This input voltage accuracy takes the factors of nonlinearity, offset, repeatability, and gain into account. The 1794-IF4I is rated for an input current of 80 milliamperes at a voltage of 24 volts DC. The allowable voltage range for this unit is between 19.2 to 31.2 volts DC, as well as a 5 percent AC ripple. The unit draws 145 milliamperes of current at 5.1 volts and 125 milliamperes of current at 24 volts. This module’s isolation voltage rating depends on the model of the terminal base attached to it. With the 1794-TB2, 1794-TB3T, 1794-TBT3S, 1794-TB3, and the 1794-TB3S, the continuous isolation voltage is rated at 120 volts. Using the 1794-TBN gives an isolation voltage of 250 volts. The 1794-IF4I has operating and non-operating shock ratings of 30 G and 50 G, respectively. The operating temperature range of this module is -20 degrees to 55 degrees Celsius.
