Designed by renowned independent watchmaker Hajime Asaoka, the Kurono Tokyo Diver's reimagines the traditional dive watch concept with a unique and innovative construction.

Instead of integrating a crown directly into the dive watch case, the 35mm automatic watch head is housed inside a dedicated waterproof diving case. This distinctive architecture eliminates one of the most common weak points of conventional dive watches—the crown system—while maintaining everyday wearability and exceptional water resistance.

Each watch undergoes water-resistance testing at 100 meters and features an advanced engineering design capable of withstanding pressures equivalent to 300 meters of water depth.

According to Hajime Asaoka, the project required years of development, extensive field testing, and high-pressure evaluations conducted in cooperation with a Japanese public testing and research institution.
