Up for auction/sale is a vintage copy of Marvel Fanfare #12 from January 1984. Marvel Fanfare was Marvel’s premium title at the time, printed on higher-quality, heavier paper stock than regular monthly comics, which means the colors in this issue remain incredibly vibrant!
The Story: Features the dramatic Black Widow storyline "The Web Tightens!" where Natasha Romanoff is captured in Hong Kong.
Incredible Artwork: Beautifully penciled by fan-favorite artist George Pérez.
Back Cover Bonus: Features a brilliant, full-page Captain America pin-up style illustration by Al Milgrom with a humorous "Don't Ask!" dialogue bubble.
We are not professional comic graders, so please view the photos carefully to gauge condition. However, our assessment notes:
Cover & Spine: The front and back covers retain excellent, bright color gloss. There is some minor spine stress, edge wear, and slight rounding at the corners consistent with age and careful reading.
Interior Pages: The high-quality paper pages are clean, intact, and free from writing, cut-outs, or major stains. Some very light tanning/creasing to the page edges.
Binding: Staples are secure, holding the centerfold firmly in place.
An excellent addition to any Black Widow, Captain America, or Bronze Age Marvel collection!
