Up for sale is an authentic vintage 1958 Omega Seamaster Calendar gentleman's dress watch, reference 2849 SC.
This classic timepiece features a clean, matte white/cream dial with stunning applied gold-toned faceted shield and arrow hour indices, matching dauphine hands, and a date display window at the 3 o'clock position. The watch is housed in a heavy 14k gold-filled case over a stainless steel caseback, featuring robust, thick "beefy" lugs characteristic of late-1950s Seamasters. The caseback is clearly stamped "SEAMASTER" and "WATERPROOF" around the outer edge. Inside runs an Omega Caliber 503 20-jewel automatic movement.
Condition Notes:
Dial & Hands: The dial is in excellent vintage condition with minimal aging. The date window frame shows some very minor oxidation/patina around the edges.
Case & Crystal: The gold-filled case shows honest, light surface scratches and minor wear on the lug edges consistent with age. The acrylic crystal has light surface scuffs that could easily be polished out. The crown is properly signed with the official Omega logo.
Band: Fitted with a vintage gold-plated stainless steel stretch expansion band that remains tight and in excellent, functional shape.
