Vintage Timex Self-Wind Automatic Date Watch — Tested — New Genuine Leather Band

Here we have a beautiful vintage Timex Self-Wind Automatic wristwatch with date window, silver sunburst dial, gold-tone case, and a brand new 18mm genuine leather strap.

And yes — this is one of those watches I really do not want to part with.

I personally wore and tested this watch for a day, and it checked out beautifully. It kept time well during my test, ran strong, and the date turned over properly. The crown winds/sets as expected, and the watch has that great vintage mechanical feel that makes old Timex pieces so fun to collect and wear.

The dial has a clean vintage look with applied hour markers, black/gold hands, center seconds hand, and a framed date window at 3 o’clock. The case has honest vintage wear and age, but it presents very nicely on the wrist. The new brown leather strap really brings the whole piece together and makes it comfortable enough to wear right away.

Condition

Pre-owned vintage condition with normal cosmetic wear from age and use. Case shows scratches, minimal plating wear, and patina consistent with a vintage Timex. Crystal/dial present nicely overall but may show light marks or age under close inspection.

As with any vintage mechanical/automatic watch, long-term accuracy and water resistance are not guaranteed but this checked out when I personally test wore it!
