The interior is incredibly clean, showcasing a crisp, original black "M" stamp (denoting the factory mahogany designation) and a legible "NOV 1958" date stamp.

​This drum is in beautiful, original "player-to-collector" grade condition. The natural mahogany wood grain finish has a wonderful vintage patina with minor cosmetic surface wear expected for its age. The chrome hardware is completely solid with minimal pitting/oxidation and will polish up brilliantly if desired. The 3-point strainer operates smoothly. The top head is a vintage Slingerland head; the bottom features an upgraded Ludwig snare wire set and clear resonant head ready for play.
