These hinges would be great for renovating an old mansion that needs some nice matching hinges
- The LEFT marked hinges only work on a left swinging door and will not work on a right swinging door
- The leaf with the non-movable pin goes on the door jamb
- The leaf with out the pin goes on the door

- These hinges are ready to go and swing for the next 100 years
- Good old cast steel is stronger and harder than the new soft reproduction iron of today
- The hinges have the original bearing washer to prevent wear
- Likely cast in the last 1880's to the early 1900’s
- These have a nice sharp, clean and fancy casting
- The hinge leaves are heavy cast steel
- When I strip the tons of paint off the hinges, I make sure the pins are loose and don’t bind up
- The pattern is also on the back of the hinge and shows when the door is closed
- The hinges were cleaned and oiled to prevent rust
- I added a few drops of oil to the pins so they will be ready to use
- They are ready for paint. Just wash with soap and water to remove the oil
- The hinges weigh almost 2 pounds each
- The hinges are 7 5/8" long from steeple tip to steeple tip
- They are 5" wide
