8.75” tin litho wind-up Rapid Transit Trolley was made late 1920’s to early 30’s. It looks original/complete, has Joy Line type spring-motor with bell. The front wheels can be set to make it run in a circle on the floor, or it can run on O gauge track. Spring winds, gears look fine, they turn the wheels and ring the bell. It has to be held upright for the ratchet to hold the spring to build-up tension, so it can be made to run. Ratchet assembly is erratic, so it does not always hold the spring. A good shake can correct this, but since it is erratic, sold as is, no warranty, not running right, but has potential. Finish has some edge and roof wear, few minor/small corrosion spots, some corrosion on trolley-pole. Rare Marx train item, very hard to find.
