The "Mononofu Oomasu" is designed with large trout in medium-sized rivers in mind.

Unlike the currently popular heavy sinking minnows, it is designed as a natural sinking lure that sinks horizontally, making it easy to simulate a weakened baitfish struggling to drift with the current. Its balance and lip shape make it resistant to current and maintain its depth, while the retrieve resistance is light and it is easy to control in the current. The fat body has a large air chamber and a low center of gravity, enabling a sharp rolling action despite being a sinking lure.
