Later they moved to New Mexico and had a studio in Los Lucernos, Alcaide. This is a larger oil on canvas depicting a western landscape entitled "Out West" with horse and rider overlooking the pink mountains in the background. The sky luminated in a soft blue/ green coloration. The painting is not signed on the front, it is hand written on stretcher and also retains an old tag affixed to verso reading; "Kleiminger Out West". The painting is housed in a simple wood molding frame with white washed finish.
Measures; painting 26" x 30", framed 29" x 33""
Condition:
There is overall large pattern craquelure, the canvas is quite stiff and could use some stretching, you can see some small creases along edge near frame with very minor paint loss. It could use some work, probably a reline, clean and re-stretch in the future. It displays ok, it's not perfect, but it's a great south western scene. My name is Kevin Bruneau and I have been in the fine arts and collectibles business for over 30 years. I've owned antique shops, auction houses, a consignment shop, and even did a TV reality show hunting down collectible treasures. Today I travel hundreds of miles per week to find interesting pieces to bring to my BKCranston eBay site. Most items are sourced from local house-calls, auctions, and estate tag and yard sales. My interests are broad so you will never know what I will list next. It could be an old master paintings or a baseball card collection. Be sure to check in often, as my store and auction offerings are forever growing and changing with fun and interesting new inventory.
