Modern researchers have different assessments of the period of the rule of Hetman P. P. Skoropadsky in Ukraine in May-November 1918. Some list many achievements of the last Hetmanate, others condemn Skoropadsky for leaning towards the Russian side and wasting time. In the military sphere - the organization of the Ukrainian armed forces, the Hetman used the achievements and achievements of his predecessor - the Minister of War of the Central Rada, Oleksandr Zhukovsky. A characteristic difference from the period of the Central Rada was, perhaps, external signs - uniforms, in which area considerable progress was made during the time of the Hetmanship of P. P.
