The Virginmarys are an English rock duo from Macclesfield, originally formed as a trio in 2006. After self‑releasing a run of limited, sold‑out EPs, the band broke through with their debut album King of Conflict, released in 2013 on Double Cross/Cooking Vinyl and Wind Up Records in the US. The album earned major acclaim, receiving Editors’ Choice from iTunes US, with “Bang Bang Bang” and “Just A Ride” both selected as iTunes Singles of the Week. King of Conflict was later nominated for Album of the Year at the Classic Rock Awards 2013, where The Virginmarys were also crowned Best Breakthrough Act.
