Tiffany 18K Yellow Gold Amethyst Necklace, a Paloma Picasso design. This beautiful piece features a cabochon cut amethyst, bezel-set in 18K yellow gold. The amethyst is domed on both sides, creating a lovely puffy, reversible design. The pendant measures approximately 0.43 inches (1.1 cm) in width and just under 0.2 inches (5 mm) in thickness. The total chain length is 16.14 inches (41 cm), and the pendant is detachable. The total weight of the necklace is approximately 3.0 grams. Engravings are located on the bezel setting and are very difficult to see with the naked eye. However, under a microscope, "©Paloma Picasso T & Co. AU750" is clearly visible (please refer to photos 9 & 10 for the best possible capture). The chain clasp also bears Tiffany and AU750 engravings, and the spring ring clasp is marked AU750. There are some minor scratches on the gold bezel consistent with normal use, but the amethyst itself is in beautiful condition with no visible scratches (based on a non-professional visual inspection).
