Three Great Looking Vintage Exposure / Light Meters: Zeiss DeJur Bertram [SL] 4 photos

  • Two are certainly in the Art Deco style:
  • DeJur – Amsco Critic Model 40 in original box. Looks great, doesn’t work – perfect for a collector who isn’t concerned with half-century old meters working. The box shows wear, and includes a card to send it in for service if needed in its first 90 days. Made in U.S.A.
  • Bertram Chrolon in original leather case. It is working. If I’m reading it correctly, it may be 1 stop off. The neatest thing with this meter is: when the push the button at the back end, just above the strap ring, the top pops open and the barn doors open for use. Cosmetically very good with a little paint wear. The leather case zipper is partially unstitched. Made in Germany.
  • The third meter is a Zeiss/Ikon Ikophot in its original case. Cosmetically it is Excellent, showing only faint indications of use. It is working, and also seems to be about 1 stop off. There is an adjustment screw on the back, but it’s a pain to get out of the case. It includes the incident cover. Made in Germany.

Refund Policy: Items that are not as described will result in a refund of the bid amount upon return of the item in the condition in which it was shipped.  This does not apply to finding a small scratch when the description says minor surface wear or similar issues.  If a package is damaged in transit, and if it was insured, the buyer must cooperate in filing the insurance claim (not a big deal).  The box and packing material must be kept and available for the post office if an item is insured and damaged in transit.  If an issue is not addressed in the description (I attempt to provide comprehensive descriptions) or if the bidder doesn’t understand the description and he or she did not ask a question about it, no refund will be made. Note: if the Post Office damages an item and still delivers it, it will refund only the bid amount and not the postage.  I will not make up the difference.
