Genuine 72 LT-1 corvette with matching numbers drivetrain. This car is my daily run around car that is titled, licensed in my name. One of 1741 LT-1's for 1972. Originally pewter silver (rarest color at 1372 units) now a bright high metallic silver. you can see the difference in the door jambs that were never painted. Paint is old and has scratches and chips but shines up great. Has the original M-21 close ratio 4-speed and factory 4.11:1 posi  rear end. Has leather seats that someone put in, originally vinyl. needs new shoulder belts since they cut the old ones when installing seats. Everything works except radio and clock. Still has the 6500 red line tach that works. Original AZ wheels all 4 with same date code. Car runs great and 4 speed is in good shape. I pulled the heads and pan off to inspect. 4 bolt main block with steel crank that is std. engine has been rebuilt before I got it, now .030 over with no sign of cylinder wear. Pistons are factory replacement TRW L 2304 .030 forged pistons with domes, identical to originals. Heads are dated Jan 73, are still 2.02 and 1.6 valves with screw in studs and guide plates. Still has the solid lifter flat tappet camshaft that is in good shape. Yes, it is noisy.  Intake and distributor are original to the car. Holly is correct part number 6239-1 with wrong date. Still has the deep groove pulleys and clutch fan. It was 103 degrees here yesterday and engine runs at 190 degrees. Original LT-1's were only produced 70,71 and 72. 1972 is the best year since the VIN validates it is a real Lt-1 and the 9.0:1 compression ratio runs great on regular pump gas.  This was last year for chrome bumpers and removable back window. Exhaust is newer factory style chambered exhaust system (no mufflers from gm) still in good shape. frame has surface rust on back section but no holes or rot. Inspections welcomed. Tires look new but are very old but still have no cracking so I use them around town. You will probably want to replace them. Great car to drive or eventually restore.
