Inspired by the classic Hungarian Rings puzzle, the Hungarian Enigma transforms the familiar rotating-ring challenge into a completely new mechanical puzzle experience.

Instead of colored balls sliding around circular tracks, the Hungarian Enigma uses individual geometric pieces that rotate through interconnected rings. The goal is to scramble the puzzle and then restore each color section to its original position. While the concept is easy to understand, solving it requires planning, spatial reasoning, pattern recognition, and patience.

Available in two unique versions, each offering a different style of challenge.

Version Options
Version 1 – Open Movement
The puzzle pieces can move freely throughout the entire frame as the rings rotate, creating a dynamic puzzle with many possible scrambling patterns.

Version 2 – Covered Track
A bottom cover restricts movement, allowing pieces to travel only through the rotating sections at the top of the puzzle. This creates a more structured and strategic solving experience.

The Hungarian Rings puzzle was invented in 1982 by Hungarian inventor and educator András Végh. The Hungarian Enigma draws inspiration from this famous design while introducing a completely different solving mechanism.
