Beautiful Vintage Japanese Pottery Clay Bell (Ema-Suzu) - Dojoji Temple Kabuki Theme
Up for sale is a beautiful vintage Japanese traditional clay bell (known as Tsuchisuzu or Ema-Suzu), shaped like a Shinto/Buddhist "Ema" wishing plaque.

This collectible folk art piece features a stunning hand-painted illustration of a Kabuki performer dancing under cherry blossoms with a folding fan, representing the famous classical dance drama "Musume Dojoji" (The Maiden at Dojoji Temple). The green temple bell (Bonsho) is also beautifully depicted on the side.

             Left side: "身心健固" (Blessing for a strong, healthy mind and body)

Condition: Vintage condition. Beautiful colors with minor signs of aging/dust as shown in the photos. It makes a lovely gentle ringing sound when shaken. (Please refer to all images for exact details).
