You are bidding on A VINTAGE 1909 CDV STYLE PHOTOGRAPH

The only clue I have to origins of this photo is that it was among a lot of items from the family of a James Francis, of Coombes Moor, near Presteigne, Radnorshire

This is a Carte de Visite style example of an EARLY OFFICIAL SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPh, Showing a young Brother and Sister aged about 8 and 6.

• He is wearing a typical velvet suit with wide lase collared shirt.
  She is in a white overdress which looks as if it may be Broderie Anglais

• The border of the photo has the words :

• The photo measures approximately 10cm x 6.5cm

• The photo has a plain grey back.

The photo has some light wear and buffeting to the edges of the frame, commensurate with age , apart from which it is in excellent condition with no rips, tears, writing or other obvious flaws.
