Gibson 1930's SJ-200 Mystic Rosewood 2012 w/hard case USED
Description
Good Condition! w/hard case
Since its birth in 1937, the "SJ-200" has been extremely popular and luxurious, especially among country musicians, and has even been called the "King of Flat Top." It is also famous as the favorite instrument of legends such as Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Keith Richards, and Neil Young. Since its release in 1938, the specifications have been changed many times to the present day, but it continues to be a dream of acoustic guitar fans through the ages. This device is a "1930's SJ-200" that is a reproduction of the specifications from the early 1930's, and is a USED product made in 2012. Adirondack spruce top, wild grain rosewood sides and back, curly maple neck, ebony fingerboard and open mustache bridge, Grover gold imperial tuners, scalloped X bracing, and neck heel cap strap pins. The J-200 began in 1937 when it was produced for country singer Ray Whitley. A unique inlay was applied to make it look gorgeous on stage, and the aim was for the large body to produce volume and bass. Production then started in 1938. It is a model that continues to this day as Gibson's flagship. Initially manufactured in Jacaranda, this instrument has been reprinted in rosewood. In terms of looks, there are decorations such as the crown inlay on the head and fingerboard, the bridge shape, and the pickguard. This is a model that has been given the attention to detail that befits a flagship. Above all, it has a large jumbo size body that measures 17 inches. It has a deep low component, a voluminous and loud sound, and a feeling that you cannot experience with other models. The use of rosewood produces a deeper, more voluminous box sound and a crisp, bright tone. A masterpiece that can be played with a variety of expressions, producing a powerful and sparkling sound when played with force, and a thick, sweet, warm sound when played with the nail. Paint scratches can be seen along the joints of the wood on the back of the head and the back of the neck, but these are common and do not affect use. The ink on the pickguard inlay has worn off slightly due to use, but it still has a nice texture. There are some dents and other signs of wear and tear on the top surface, but there are no wood cracks and it is in relatively good condition considering the passage of about 15 years. The installed pickup is FISHMAN's under saddle piezo pickup. Non-controller active specification. You can enjoy a variety of sound makeup by connecting it to a separate preamp, which produces a clear line sound with a clear outline. Please come and experience the powerful sound produced by Adirondack spruce x jumbo body up close. Comes with original hard case.
