Specifications & Details:
Material: Heavy-Duty, Waterproof PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride).

Measurement Scale: Clear, permanent centimetre (cm) markings printed along one long edge, starting from zero.
Key Features: Waterproof, foldable, easy-clean, non-slip backing (optional).

How to Use:
Unfold the mat on a flat surface in your boat, kayak, or on the bank.
Place your caught fish on the mat with its nose against the "0" end of the ruler.
Gently straighten the fish's tail and read the measurement at the tip of the tail to determine its total length.
Use the mat as a clean surface for unhooking, photographing, or temporarily holding the fish.
After use, rinse the mat with fresh water, fold it, and store it in your gear bag.
Important for Australian Anglers:
Know Your Regulations: Fishing size and bag limits vary by state, species, and region in Australia (e.g., NSW DPI, VFA, WA DPIRD). This tool helps you measure accurately to ensure you comply with all local rules, supporting sustainable fishing practices.
Care for Catch and Release: For fish you intend to release, wet the mat before use to protect the fish's slime coat. Handle the fish gently and minimise its time out of the water.
Care Instructions:
Rinse with fresh water after each use. For stubborn residue, use a mild soap and a soft brush. Do not machine wash. Allow to air dry completely before folding for long-term storage to prevent mould.
Why Choose This Fish Ruler Mat?
It eliminates the guesswork and mess from measuring your catch. Far superior to trying to use a flimsy tape measure on a wriggling fish, this mat provides a stable, clearly marked platform. Its portability and durability make it an indispensable piece of kit for bank anglers, kayak fishers, and boaties alike.
