Approximate cog dimensions:

H = 6.2 mm

D = 13.4 mm

Z = 25 - skewed

Fi = 2.95 mm

This cog was used in many cars from the late 1970s and early 1980s equipped with VDO instrument clusters. Note that this cog has teeth that are beveled in the opposite direction than most other gears.

Note:

If you are disassembling the speedometer, remember that the speedometer needle shaft is very fragile. Grasp the center of the speedometer needle and rotate it counterclockwise, pulling gently. Only friction holds the needle on the shaft.

The gears fit all mechanical VDO speedometers of various brands.
