For sale is a vintage Leitz Wetzlar model 402 phase contrast condenser, designed for finite 170 mm tube length Leitz microscopes.
This is a high-quality German-made condenser used for phase contrast microscopy (1,2,3,4,5) as well as standard brightfield (H position).

Several original adjustment keys/tools for phase contrast ring centering will be included. The condenser centering screws and adjustment mechanisms operate smoothly.
The objectives appear dry, clean and optically clear. Due to the age of the equipment, I cannot completely rule out the presence of minor dust particles inside the optics. However, I did not observe any significant debris, haze or contamination when inspecting them through the centering eyepiece. No large dirt particles were noted.
Overall, the entire set appears exceptionally clean for laboratory equipment of this age and has been well preserved.
