Why do my results show 0 ppm but my salt system reads 3,500 ppm?
Our strips test NaCl (0-8000 ppm). Other salts may give different results. Also check: pH 5–9, follow instructions. Pool stores often use conductivity meters which measure total dissolved solids, not just NaCl.

I added salt, waited days, but the strip still shows dark brown – no change. Why
1.Salt level is too high (above 8000 ppm) – color goes off the chart.
2.Strips were exposed to moisture or left open too long – they may stop working.
3.pH is too high or too low.
4.Try diluting your water 1:1 with distilled water and retest.

I tested the same water multiple times over two months and got 0 ppm every time. Is there an issue with these strips?
The strips may have been affected by heat, humidity, or high oxidizer levels. If the color does not match any color on the chart (e.g., dark brown, purple), the salt level is likely outside the measurable range – typically above 8000 ppm .

I added salt, your strips showed under 2000 ppm, but my salt system showed 3200 ppm. Why?
1.Salt not fully mixed (needs 24–48 hours with pump running).
2.Reading time not as specified (read at the exact time stated in instructions).
3.Other substances in water (metals, calcium) may interfere.

The strip color doesn't match any color on the bottle chart. What do I do?
Darker than highest color:Salt above 8000 ppm. Dilute water 1:1 with distilled water, then multiply by 2.
Strange color:pH is off are too high. Adjust pH to 7.2–7.6.
No color change：Strips exposed to air or moisture too long
