The "Khaki Sub" is a high-spec, water-resistant evolution of Hamilton's legendary military watch line.

Hamilton historically supplied the iconic 33mm mechanical military watch (MIL-W-46374B) to the US military from 1975 to 1983. While that heritage was passed down to commercial Khaki models like the 9219, 921980, and 9415, Hamilton simultaneously adapted to the quartz revolution and changing size preferences by introducing larger 38mm models.

This Khaki Sub 9745 represents that perfect transition—featuring a versatile 38mm case, a reliable Quartz movement, and an upgraded mineral glass crystal (evolving from the vintage acrylic plastic).

⚓ Overcoming the Weakness: 200m (20気圧) Water Resistance

For years, the traditional Hamilton Khaki’s main vulnerability was its limited water resistance (usually only 3 ATM / 30m) and a standard push-in crown.

The Khaki Sub completely rewrote the rules to overcome this weakness. By integrating a secure screw-down crown, Hamilton achieved an impressive 20 ATM / 200m (660ft) water resistance. It also comes equipped with a unidirectional rotating bezel for diving, and a beautifully crafted original stainless steel bracelet as standard hardware.

Despite its rugged diver upgrades, this model proudly retains the DNA of the classic Khaki Field:
